Videos that I am loving...

These are a couple of videos that I really enjoy, the first one here being Kris Allen and Allison Iraheta covering Cold Play's "The Scientist" for Oprah's no texting campaign. I just love him and his voice and them singing together. Enjoy!

This one is just down right funny and seriously makes me laugh every time I see, and believe me it has been numerous times.

Annual finals week blog..

I normally blog a lot during finals week because I am in the library a lot on my computer and avoiding studying - which equals blog time!

tonight I am studying for my international relations - political science final and to be honest I am quite frightened and it is in just a couple of hours. Ut oh...no worries I am not in danger of failing the class or anything so all should be well, hopefully. =)

Recently the rooms and I have been experiencing seperation anxiety as we prepare to part ways for the summer. I will be staying in Tuscaloosa for till the end of June and she will be heading home to Bham to work and travel! I am also experiencing this with Matthew as he will be heading home to work for the summer and we once again have to shift to the LDR (Long distance Relationship)...Boo! It is like deja vu all over again. This is a picture of the place where I sitting at the beautiful Amelia Gayle Gorgas Library - Look Below...isn't she purty?

Nashville Road Trippin

Here are a couple pics from the weekend in Nashville, unfortunately I did not use my camera very much and so these are the couple I came away with.

This is my complete creeper moment, the governors club in Brentwood, TN, is the home of many many nice homes and famous people but most importantly...CARRIE UNDERWOOD. The wonderful hostess for the weekend lived in a neighborhood directly across the street from this one and I about flipped out. I figure that is the closest I will be ever be to "her". I know it is soooo creeper but I couldn't help it!

This is my sister Callie (the 6 month preggo) and I before going out for dinner. I know she is huge isn't she, its really ridiculous I tell ya. It was a great weekend though and I definitely want to go back to the area because there was so much more I wanted to see. I loved downtown Franklin and other cute areas of the sort.

For now, it is full swing finals crunch time and this week I have finals and two presentations on Thursday. Cannot wait to be done and complete this semester - at least for a couple days before I start summer school (Book!) I will try to keep up the blogging effort.

Gigi's Cupcakes

So anyone that knows me knows that i LOVE cupcakes! I am fascinated by them and love baking them. I have made it my sort of hobby that when I travel to new places, mostly big cities, I venture to find a cupcake hotspot. While visiting Nashville, TN two weekends ago this is what I found.

And they were all very scrumtpious, this is the one that I got but of course I inhaled it too quick to take a picture of the real thing. So the one above is a picture of the picture on the menu.

The icing was a little thick for me, Cupcakes on Kavanaugh still are the perfect proportions for me and still take the {cup}cake!

These were some of the other purchases by the other girls in NashVegas for Lolo's girl weekend/bachelorette party!

I did not get to try all of them but I'm sure they are delicious!

I can only hope to have my own one day! But I do recommend to all...

Good News.

I am quite certain that this is the ONLY good news that those three (devil) letters ever gave me.

YAY! I passed the Alabama Prospective Teachers Test. (Basic Skills test)One must pass this to continue in the education program - most people pass with flying colors, but I feared being that "first one"

But it's clear, I passed and one step closer to TEP (Teacher Education Program) which I will find out any day if I got into the program! Wish me luck.

and if you cannot tell, I despise the ACT and the havoc they wrecked upon my life! But I they did not win this time, I prevailed! Take that ACT!

Paula's Strawberry Cake

Over Easter I decided to bake Paula's strawberry cake and top it with my normal whipped cream cheese frosting - I know I put it on everything, but it is good!!

I even tried to pipe a little on the sides but was only using a zip-Lock bag instead of my normal piping bags because I left them in Tuscaloosa!

Here are some more pics of the cake, I am not the biggest strawberry fan but this was delicious and the family really liked it too!

Easter

Here are a couple pics from Easter Sunday...I know, a couple weeks ago and I only have two but hey it is better than nothing!!

Dad and I at Easter breakfast at Harbor Docks - Yummy!

Callie and Jeremiah - my nephew is in there somewhere =)

Easter again was filled with multiple family gathering and approximately eighteen different meals. I was so stuffed but great time with family and Friends!

Sneak peek...

I know I just posted about Glee but here is a little teaser for anyone that has not seen it!

Today is the day...

Today is the day that I have been waiting for since...early december. In my waiting time I have rewatched almost all of the first season and watched the finale episode multiple times. It has been a long couple of months..but it is here! Tonight!!!

I am so excited! I have pretty much decided that it is my favorite tv show and cannot wait to be able to download new music from the episodes. Does anyone else like it? Is anyone else a gleek? I am, all the way baby!

Teaching

A week or so ago (I know Mrs. Heck..my blogging is slacking) I taught my first "real" lesson to my 11th graders that I have been working with all semester at Tuscaloosa County High. The lesson was on the great depression - and I made it out alive! I had to video tape it for reflective and evaluation purposes, and no it will never surface here or anywhere.

What I can say is that my lessson was nothing like this incredible power teaching of the order of operations...Watch the video, it is almost sort of eerie in how good she is. I wonder how long it took her to train the clain to do such things? Its really quite marvelous.

ps- more exciting posts to come of recent baking adventures, spring retreat, nashville and so much more (i know its hard to contain ones excitement)
