Heartbroken for Haiti

I know we all have seen tons of news footage from the disaster in Haiti...but i really cannot express how heartbroken i feel for the people of Haiti but also so amazed at their resiliency. here is a link to a families blog whom live in Haiti working with a ministry and have lived there for 4 or so years. I do not know them but they amaze me in their strength and stories
The Livesay Family also, a ministry I have had the opportunity to work with alot in fort walton GiveMeShelter ministries will arrive in Haiti hopefully some time today on a trip previously planned - God's timing and planning never cease's to amaze me - but they also have a blog that im sure they will try and update while in haiti although that is obviously not their main priority but instead to get in touch with the pastors and families they have worked with for a couple years now and practically helpt them to rebuild their lives and mourn their losses.
GiveMeShelter in Haiti

And many of you i have told but continue to lift up the Hayes family as they search for their daughter Courtney - a college student in haiti with a school trip- they have not found or had any contact with her since the quake, courtneys sister..Caitlin is in my bible study in tuscaloosa and it is such a heartbreaking thing.

Please peoplem give what you can, do what you can and pray God's love to just truly encompass the lives of these people and that they would find hope and comfort only that He can provide.

Simple Harvest

So this weekend while visiting some wonderful friends in Birmingham...i discovered something wonderful...The simple harvest granola bars with dark chocolate. Let me just say..i went out and bought some today and just thoroughly enjoy them. Sweet with the chocolate but also somewhat healthy feelings with the granola =) I recommend to all.

Victorious # 13

Well the trip could be considered a success by many means...first of all, WE WON!! It was the most awesome game and i am so glad i could be there to witness the making of alabama history and it is something that i will remember forever! We are officially the national champions and it feels so good...i am so glad and proud to be a part of this University and the auora around campus and tuscaloosa is one that i wish i could bottle up and keep forever because its truly awesome! Way to go guys...Nick, the rest of the coaches, the players and the rest of the bama family for just making this all so memorable and worthwhile...the pics would be of Coach Nick Saban and the team raising up the crystal ball trophy and of course our very own heisman winner Mark kissing the new trophy to add to the collection in ttown! =)

also on the trip we went sightseeing and adventured all the way around Los Angeles multiple times it seemed but well worth it...we even went to Burbank and found the set of the The Office...like the real one and it was sooo cool, we saw Dwights car and the scranton/dunder mifflin signs. Just a great trip all the way around!

Sitting, Waiting, Wishing

Not necessarily trying to copy ole Jack Johnson and his lyrics but they fit the mood for the time being...

Sitting - I am sitting around trying to find things to occupy my time such as dishes, folding clothes, packing, blogging even watching some tv..but it is daytime tv so there is not much to keep you distracted

Waiting - I am anxiously awaiting going to the airport this afternoon to hop on a plane first to dallas then to LAX so that tomorrow i can be there to support my boys as they play for the national championship in the rose bowl! I feel like this waiting thing is taking forever

Wishing - I am wishing that i was on matthew and james flight, they are probably in mid air right now and will be in california before i even get to the airport...i am also wishing that tomorrow night i will get to scream rammer jammer so loud and be able to witness the winning of #13...our 13th national title.

expect more blogs to come as i wait in the DFW airport on my connecting flight, haha! =)

Mom's worries

Gosh i really need to get better at this and i know i constantly say that i to be a better blogger...i apologize for the trillionth time.

I am going to California tomorrow for the BIG game and that means that i am flying into LAX tomorrow night...which also means in my head i will be singing and dancing "I hopped off the plane at LAX with a dream and my cardigan..." and you think i am kidding?

Well i am really excited about it, my mom is all nervous because this is one of my first trips sans all adults which seems to mean that now I am "almost" an adult haha! I mean she sent me to India for ten days and she is more worried about the 3 I will be in California because there are no adults going...oh mamma..Im sure one day i will feel the same way.
